Breakfasts At Stones Throw, eating is a celebration! Evelyn's breakfasts will be one of the highlights of your stay. In addition to the delicious entrees offered each morning, you will feast on fresh seasonal fruits, scrumptious muffins, breads, pastries, homemade preserves, assorted juices, coffee and select teas. As you can see, no one is allowed to leave hungry. Our exclusively roasted Stones Throw Blend Coffee is available first thing in the morning. Guest may eat in the dining room, on the front porch, or in the privacy of the sun room. Dining Room Stones Throw's elegant dining room is situated just off of the cottage's grand porch, allowing for natural light and lovely lakefront views. Tastefully decorated with period furniture, featuring an antique French buffet and an eclectic array of American art, the dining room offers a lovely start to the day. Gathering Room The Gathering Room, located just off the front porch, is cheerfully decorated with a diverse mixture of antique and contemporary pieces. The inviting stone fireplace provides an ideal atmosphere for curling up with a good book, socializing with other guests, or playing a friendly game of chess or backgammon. Piano players are welcome to have a go at the 19th Century Steinway upright grand piano. Or, you may choose to simply relax and enjoy the lakefront view through the wall of French doors leading to the porch. Catching pleasant sunlight all day long, the Sun Room provides the perfect environment for contemplation, conversation, and correspondence. Front Porch Stretched along the entire front of the cottage, the grand Front Porch is quite possibly our most popular "room." Featuring 19th Century wicker, the porch is an ideal place in which to pass the afternoon hours.
